Ellie Rose Grimsdale

I am a Medical Herbalist and a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), the UK's oldest and most established professional body for herbal practitioners. I am trained to Level 6 (degree level) in the same core clinical sciences as conventional medicine, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, examination, and diagnostics, paired with extensive study of medicinal plants, and how they work inside the body. I am also an Emergency Medical Technician, and alongside herbal medicine I have over ten years of frontline healthcare experience in NHS hospitals and with the London Ambulance Service. This background allows me to combine traditional herbal knowledge with modern science and frontline medical experience to give each patient care that is thorough, evidence-informed and personal.

I trained at the Betonica School of Herbal Medicine, one of the most respected herbal medicine schools in the UK, where the clinical curriculum sits alongside botany, nutrition, chemistry and materia medica, the detailed study of medicinal plants and their actions. This allows me to assess your health from a thorough, evidence-informed perspective and create personalised treatment plans tailored to your unique needs.

My approach is comprehensive & holistic, addressing not only presenting symptoms, but also their underlying causes. I work alongside conventional medical treatments when appropriate, and I am confident in referring patients to other healthcare providers where necessary. I provide individually tailored herbal medicine, alongside personalised targeted lifestyle and nutritional guidance, to treat health concerns effectively and support the body's natural healing processes.
