Where is the clinic?
My in-person clinic is conveniently located on Berkhamsted High Street, operating inside Berkhamsted Chiropractic, a professional practice that has been serving the health of the community since 1931. Consultations are held in a calm clinic space with views of a private garden.
Berkhamsted is in west Hertfordshire, near the Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire borders, and patients travel to me from the surrounding towns and villages, including Tring, Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley and Apsley, and from Leighton Buzzard and Aylesbury a little further out.
Please note that access to the clinic requires climbing a few stairs, please inform me at the time of booking if you have any accessibility concerns.

Parking & Arrival Information
While there is no on-site parking at the clinic, several convenient options are available just a short walk away:
On-Street Parking:
Limited pay-and-display spaces are located along the High Street. (I generally do not recommend these for initial consultations, as they are limited to a 1h duration.)
Water Lane Car Park:
This town car park is a brief 3-minute walk from the clinic entrance.
Local Car Parks:
The public car parks at Waitrose and Lower Kings Road are both within a 4-to-5-minute walk.

Do you offer online consultations?
I do. For many conditions it is ideal to have the initial consultation in person, however I am able to offer online consultations where suitable. You can read how online consultations work.
How long does the consultation last?
Initial consultations last 60-90 minutes, follow-up consultations are commonly 30-40 minutes. Please see the consultations tab for a detailed breakdown of what consultations involve.
What do you charge?

Do you have a diary link I can use to book my appointment?
Yes, you can book any appointment through my online diary, including your first consultation. If you're not sure which one you need, book a free 15-minute call and we can talk it through. You're welcome to email me and arrange it directly instead.
How many consultations will I need?
Unfortunately there is no set timeframe I can give. Treatment responses vary from person-to person and condition-to-condition. Acute conditions can often be treated within a week. Some chronic conditions may require as little as 3 months of treatment or even less, others will need more time. As a general rule, the longer the condition has effected you, the longer you will need to be treated to resolve it (however this is not applicable to all cases).
What is your cancellation policy?
For cancellations I ask that you provide me with 24 hours notice, as this allows me to offer your slot to another patient.
Appointment deposits may be kept for no-shows, and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.
Is herbal medicine safe?
Herbal medicine is generally safe when prescribed by a qualified Medical Herbalist. I trained to Level 6 and I am a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), the UK's oldest and most established professional body for herbal practitioners, which sets standards for training and professional conduct. That training allows me to prescribe herbs safely, use appropriate dosing, and check for interactions with prescription medication or existing health conditions before anything is dispensed.
Do you offer concessions rates?
I do offer concessions rates; the criteria are on the pricing page.
Can herbal medicine be taken alongside prescription medication?
Yes - I always ensure all possible interactions and contraindications with a patients existing medications are checked thoroughly prior to dispensing medicine.
What form does the medicine come in?
Herbal medicine may be provided as tinctures, other liquid extracts, teas, powders, capsules, creams or balms. Tinctures are the most common form I prescribe. Please see the Herbal Medicine tab for more information on medicine & preparations.
